Jigsaw Thinking My business is

Predictable revenue systems

Four tools to make next quarter's revenue predictable.

Work backwards from the number you want, measure what actually happens, run experiments instead of to-do lists, and clear the belief that stops you from selling.

First, tell us how you sell

This changes the questions in all four tools, so pick the one closest to your business. You can switch at any time using the toggle at the top.

  1. Revenue map: turn your annual target into what you must do this week.
  2. Measurement tracker: compare what you planned against what happened.
  3. Weekly action plan: pick experiments to close the gap.
  4. Sales mindset: name the belief that is slowing you down.

01 Revenue map

Work backwards from the number.

What this does

You start with the revenue you want for the year. You end up with how many enquiries and conversations you need every single week to get there.

Step 1Set the target for the quarter
How much money you want the business to bring in over the next 12 months. Total sales, before any costs. ₹
Your annual target divided by four. --
Some quarters are busier than others. Put in the percentage of your yearly revenue you expect from each quarter. The four numbers must add up to 100.
--
--
--
--

Enter all four to check they add up to 100%.

Pick the one you are working on right now. Everything below is calculated for that quarter only. --
Money you are confident about for this quarter from clients you already have. Only count what is signed or almost certain. ₹
Your quarterly target minus what is already committed. This is the number the rest of the page solves for. --
Step 2Name the work that gets you there

Retainer clients

Clients who pay you every month. Count only the new ones you plan to sign this quarter.
Their monthly fee multiplied by three. If they pay 50,000 a month, put 150000. ₹
--

One-off projects

Fixed-scope pieces of work with a start and an end. Count what you plan to close this quarter.
The average price you charge for one project. ₹
--
What is left after the retainers and projects above. If this is not zero, your plan does not reach your target yet. --
How many more clients you need at your average deal size, so the gap actually closes. --
Everything above added together. This is the real number, not the one you first wrote down. --
Step 3Work back to conversations and enquiries
Out of 10 real sales conversations, how many end up paying you? If 3 do, type 30. Use last quarter, do not guess upwards.
--
Out of 10 people who enquire, how many actually get on a proper call with you? If 5 do, type 50.
--
A full quarter is 13 weeks. Take out holidays and shutdowns so this is the number of weeks you will actually be selling.
--
--
--

02 Measurement tracker

What actually happened.

What this does

The revenue map told you what to aim for. This tells you what really happened, month by month. Put your goal in the first column and the real number in the second. Fill in only what you know.

Month
QuarterAll three months added together

Fill in a goal and a real number to see your hit rate.

03 Weekly sales action plan

Not your typical to-do list.

What this does

A to-do list says what you will do. This says what you expect to happen, and when you will check.

Start hereName the problem before you pick a fix
Look at your tracker. Where does the drop-off happen? Write it in one line.
Your honest guess. You are not expected to be right, that is the point of testing it.
Pick a single number from your tracker. If it does not move, the bet did not work.

Experiments per week uses the working weeks from your revenue map. More bets per week means you learn faster.

04 Sales mindset

What is stopping you selling consistently?

What this does

The first three tools fix the structure. If you quietly believe selling is pushy, or that your price is too high, none of it moves. Name the belief, replace it, and pick one behaviour to practise.

The thing you tell yourself before you avoid a sales call. For example, "chasing people makes me look desperate".
Write the opposite, in your own words, in a way you can actually believe today.
Something you can do in a normal week. Small and repeatable beats big and once.
One thing, done consistently. For example, five follow-ups every Friday.
Put a real date in your calendar, roughly 30 days from now.
Name one person who will actually ask you about it. Tell them today.
